A Solitary Place
And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. King James Version, Mark 1:35 A figure kneels in prayer on a slope of warm sand, a long shadow stretching up the hill, the rest of the canvas left open in soft ochre brushwork. Nothing is printed on it. Mark's quiet line about the hour before the day began, painted rather than set.

Details+
Printed on cotton-blend canvas and floated inside a 1.25 inch frame, so the canvas sits proud of the moulding with a shadow line around all four edges. That gap is what separates a floated canvas from a poster in a frame.
The canvas is mounted to a solid backing board rather than stretched over bars, so it will not dent, ripple, or slacken with humidity.
Frames come in pecan, white, and black.
Arrives ready to hang. Hanging hardware is in the box.
